This summer the staff and instructors at the Great Lakes Boat Building School are happy to once again team up with the folks at Chesapeake Light Craft. We are offering a series of workshops in which you can build your own boat in fun and educational, one-week classes. We are featuring boats that have been yearly favorites, as well as introducing some new ones that we think will have great appeal. For details click here.
There will be one-week period from June 18-23, which has been set aside for a Custom Workshop to handle just that...custom projects.
In addition, the Great Lakes Boat Building School is offering three new workshops to introduce the concepts and techniques used in traditional wooden boat building. For details click here.
This summers Artisan's Workshop Series will include workshops in Wood Turning, Woodworking for Women, Vintage Wood/Canvas Canoe Repair, and Paddle & Oar Making. For details click here.
