In the main workshop area, each student has his/her own workbench that can be moved and re-arranged depending on the individual boat building project. Students spend the majority of their time here working on early woodworking assignments, lofting, and building boats. This area also houses several larger boats that are used in the Yacht Joinery and Repair and Restoration Courses that make up the advanced fourth quarter of the program.
